The Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard is very proud to support the Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation, the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.

Founded over 20 years ago, the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is a sanctuary of hope and healing. The most advanced technology, coupled with compassion and dedication have made Arnold Palmer Hospital one of the most trusted names in children’s healthcare worldwide. Careful attention has been paid to creating a cheerful, comforting environment to minimize stress and generate smiles.
In the beginning of the relationship between the hospital and the Palmers, Arnold and Winnie set forth a challenge. Their challenge was to always strive to be the best. And with the agreement to use his name on the hospital came a commitment that "good" would never be "good enough." In everything that we do, we know that we must reach a level that is beyond what is acceptable. The children and families deserve the best.
When you hear Arnold talk about the hospital, you can see what makes him so proud. He said recently, "This hospital isn’t just going to be the best hospital in Orlando, or even the best hospital in Florida. But this hospital is going to be one of the best in the world." This has been our commitment - to do our part to make this one of the best hospitals in the world.

In May 2006, the opening of Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies allowed Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children to dedicate itself solely to the care and treatment of children. Arnold Palmer Hospital was renovated to nearly double the capacity for pediatric services including Central Florida's only children's emergency department and trauma center. Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies is home to the labor and delivery area, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the women's health unit.
The two hospitals create the Arnold Palmer Medical Center and are joined by a two-story connector that allows the specialized physicians and services to be shared among the babies and children.
If you ask Arnold, he will tell you that as great as 92 national and international championships, a U.S Amateur Championship, four Masters Championships, two British Opens, a U.S. Open Championship, being named the "Athlete of a Decade" -- none of them compare to being a part of saving the life of a child. This is a legacy of caring.
